Thursday 8th January - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy
and very calm until the evening.
I was going to have a some days off from taking weather pics as am going
through a lean spell and both the ITV and BBC are using less pics, it
started over the Christmas period and has continued into the new year but I
checked the weather here in Felixstowe around 10 discovering the wind was
very light so I decided to have a drive down to the Ferry, my favourite
local spot! It was absolutely stunning despite the grey cloud which added
to the atmosphere, I have never seen the River Deben so still as I walked
through the boatyard taking photos of the reflections of the boats and
houses in the River Deben:) It was definitely the calm before the storm as
Storm Goretti which probably means a spell of wet and breezy weather here
in East Anglia and maybe some snow? The rain started around 7 and the wind
is building and tomorrow is looking very wet, could be an interesting day
for a picnic in the van with Maeva:)
We were expecting a visit from an electrican so we headed out for a quick
walk in the gloom, down to the pier along the prom and back through the
town centre and home for a cuppa!
